GM Dental

We’re looking for an experienced business leader and strategic thinker interested in creating an entirely new way to service consumers’ oral health needs.  You will be responsible for creating the strategy, roadmap, and execution plan behind quip’s growing dental channel, which includes all aspects and stakeholders in oral health beyond just physical products/tools. This role presents the opportunity to formalize, grow, and own a significant revenue stream within quip’s business. In doing this, you will lead the strategy and prioritization for how we gain awareness and credibility in the dental community.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Creating the business case and roadmap for how and when to expand quip’s offering by sizing opportunities, risks, and resource requirements
  • Be the internal thought leader for the dental professional community, having a clear understanding of their unique goals, pain points, and processes
  • Drive integration of the Dental platform with quip’s DTC business, determining when they overlap and when they are distinct; How can quip leverage each to grow the other?
  • Evolve the role that Dental plays within quip over a 3-5 year total company plan
  • Determining how we can best leverage our dentist partners to amplify our marketing and distribution efforts
  • Partner with the CEO on high-level strategy and decision making
  • Build and lead a team to support the channel

This might describe you:

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of management consulting experience OR strategy & marketing experience within an oral health or oral care CPG company
  • Business development and B2B sales experience with a proven track record of sales pitching, account management, customer success, scaling customer relationships, and contract negotiations
  • Organized project manager
  • Highly analytical Excel super user
  • Good sense of humor (we’re called quip after all ;) )
  • Brush teeth for two minutes, twice a day and smile often
  • Experienced manager and independent thinker with strong interpersonal skills

 

About Quip:

We built quip to make great oral care more simple, enjoyable and accessible. Our front facing product is a beautifully simple electric toothbrush and toothpaste set that are refreshed automatically on a 3-monthly schedule, but our product line will soon be growing. The future of quip will see an increasing focus on our digitial platform that will provide a link to professional dental services and partners to create an operation on a whole different scale to one of purely ecommerce. We're in DUMBO, Brooklyn home of many creative companies and more importantly, lots of pizza and a shake shack. We are closest to the High Street stop on the A/C line, York Street stop on the F, and the Clark Street stop on the 2/3
