We are looking for a Director of Operations that can bring an experienced, managerial rigor to every internal operation at quip. You’ll be working directly with the founders[KS1] and a direct report associate to interact at every level of the company to ensure smooth daily operation of our fast-growing startup. As a hardware focused subscription company, smooth operation relies greatly on well managed production orders, demand forecasts, supply logistics, and order fulfillment (personnel). This role affects every internal team at quip, and each team has its own way of working and part of your role will be to help define, build, and utilize tracking tools to optimize those teams’ performance. You should be a quantitatively focused person that can put every problem and opportunity into the context of its impact to the bottom line. You should feel comfortable managing other people and be able to maintain strong relationships even through difficult workloads.
Your work will be the foundation of how quip performs and achieves important, company-defining goals for growth, profitability, and customer happiness. The right candidate will go on to become and integral part of quip’s future success and core team.
This might describe you:
We built quip to make great oral care more simple, enjoyable and accessible. Our front facing product is a beautifully simple electric toothbrush and toothpaste set that are refreshed automatically on a 3-monthly schedule, but our product line will soon be growing. The future of quip will see an increasing focus on our digitial platform that will provide a link to professional dental services and partners to create an operation on a whole different scale to one of purely ecommerce. We pride ourselves on great design and our brand values of simplicity, honesty and accessibility are applied in both physical and digital spheres and are central to how we interact with our community.
